It is missing one of the feet on the bottom, but all of the latches work fine, and it effectively protects the instrument. There is some evidence of some dent removal, but nothing bad at all.Ī pretty nice case (not original) is included. When properly and regularly oiled they are quiet and work very well. If they are not properly oiled, they start to click. They still have a little bit of life left, but I found that they need more oil than most horn valves. This horn was made in Elkhart, Indiana, when Conn was known for excellent quality and craftsmanship. This one plays well and would be a great first double for a student or a good horn for a college player/community player. I am hoping it will go to a good home where it will be played or restored. I have had this horn since I was 14 years old (5 years ago) and I have been done playing for about 2 years now.

It has most of it's lacquer still intact, the valves are quick and quiet, and all of the slides pull easily. It is used, but is in good condition for its age.
